David managed a staff of debt collectors for multiple companies, including JP Morgan Chase. A year later, JP Morgan Chase promoted him to an analyst, and he researched auto financing and student loans.
In 2015, David went from companies that collect and study debt to one that helps Americans get out of debt. Sunrise Financial Solutions is a debt settlement company, and David knew he was facing his biggest challenge yet.
“Back then, debt settlement had a terrible reputation,” David says. “Even today, there are still bad actors out there. I spend a lot of my time ensuring our clients get the help they need – and reassuring them we’re legitimate and professional.”
Indeed, debt settlement scams have tarnished an entire industry, and David makes sure his staff of 40 counselors are fully trained and always attentive to Sunrise’s clients.
“Debt settlement isn’t right for everyone,” David says. “But for those it is right for, it really makes a huge impact on their lives. I hear from former clients all the time who are so appreciative – and relieved. They have their lives back. And I’m just happy to be a part of that.”
