Will inflation put a damper on holiday shopping?
Not this year according to debt.com.
In the 2023 holiday spending survey, debt.com asked a thousand Americans how they plan to work around high prices this season. Six in 10 shoppers expect to spend extra money because of inflation. How will they cover the costs? More than half say they’ll use credit cards which is up from last year’s results. Two-thirds of those polled are shopping sooner this year. Out of those early birds, 15% started shopping over the summer. More than one in four Shoppers said they’re navigating deals ahead of time to avoid price markups.
