Gerri Detweiler is Debt.com’s contributing credit expert. With more than three decades of experience as a writer, speaker, and podcast host, she helps everyday Americans and small business owners understand how to get the most out of their credit and finance small businesses.
Gerri has authored or co-authored five books. Her first book, The Ultimate Credit Handbook, was published two decades ago as the first-ever mass-market book focused on paying down debt and building credit. Money Magazine named it “one of the top five personal finance books of the year.”
Gerri holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Business and Political Affairs from Taylor University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Adult Education and Psychology from Vermont College. She was a host of a weekly live radio program, Talk Credit Radio. For six years Gerri served as education director for Nav, where she helped individuals and business owners navigate the confusing world of consumer and small business credit. Prior to that, she was education director at credit.com.
